	The Village of Saugerties is well known for its antique shops and auctions, and Hudson, NY is a short drive across the river. Woodstock, only minutes away is famous for its arts and crafts, creativity, music, and shopping.    Opus 40 Our neighbor, half way between Woodstock and Saugerties is an environmental bluestone sculpture extending out of an abandoned quarry, which covers more than six acres. Opus 40 was built over a thirty-seven year period by sculptor Harvey Fite.   Activities At the summit of Mead's Mountain Road you will find the trail to Overlook Mountain. This hike is slightly strenuous walk and takes at least 2 hours. You will be swept away by the views from OverlookMountain. If you have kids, tubing the Esopus is a great activity. Parents willlove it too, bouncing along the rapids in a large inner tube. Nearby activities also include road and trail biking, apple picking, canoeing, horseback riding, boat rides on the Hudson River, tennis and golf .
